TEDTalks

A wonderful source for great presentations are TED talks. There is also an app for smartphones and tablets. 
These are talks by inspiring people whose ideas are worth spreading, be they in technology, entertainment or design.
One of the best ones, for me, is Ken Robinson School kills creativity.
The other one is Jill Bolte Taylor's Stroke of insight.

By the way, there will be a TEDxramblas event in Barcelona in January.

In our time

This is where it all began for me quite some years ago, sometime in 2004, when my colleague Ute told me about Melvin Bragg and In our time. Since then I have been addicted to podcasts. First to one, then three podcasts. Now I have hours and hours to listen to, in English, German, French, Russian, Italian, Japanese, Chinese. (No, I don't listen to EVERYthing. Yes, I do get a wee bit of sleep. And YES, I LOVE my podcasts. I listen to them in the kitchen, while hanging out the washing, while driving or riding my bike. Beware, it might be contagious . Oh, by the way, I don't speak nor understand Japanese, Chinese nor Italian. But it's great fun.)
