1. (00:15-1:43) In the first part she speaks about her origins. What was unusual about her family?

Four girls, all of them got an excellent education. Their grandfather didn't agree with this at all .

2. (1:43-2:27) I'll give you two facts and numbers from her talk. Find out what she says about them.

life is on an incline: you either go up or you go down
90% - 10%: Out of 100 things you do, 90 are of your creation. If they are good - they are of your own doing. If they are bad - learn from them so that it won't happen again. The rest are things you can't influence, you just have to accept. Thus she learned to appreciate what she has, value the rare opportunities that were given her.

3. (3:15-3:40) The police force, she says, has three kinds of powers. What are they? Which one is the most important one for her?
The power to detect, the power to prevent , the power to correct, to punish. The power to prevent is most important one for her.

4. When she joined the police force, she went on a policing assignment (3:50-4:55) and on a prison assignment (4:30-7:00). Both were very unusual. What happened? What did she do?
a) The primer Minister got a parking fine. Why? Because she was sensitive, compationate, projustice. She was for tough policing and equal policing
b) Prisoners for teachers. Meditation in prison.

5. (8:05-8:30) What is she working on now?

Movements of education of the underserved children,anticorruption movement in India, that drafted an ombudsmen bill for the Indian government
